Successful Delivery of Hangcha 8-Ton Electric Forklifts to HK Electric

As Hong Kong continues to advance low-carbon operations and sustainable energy initiatives, HK Electric has introduced Hangcha 8-ton lithium battery electric forklifts to its material handling and equipment modernization projects, replacing traditional internal combustion vehicles and enabling a greener logistics workflow within its ports and power facilities.
The project requirements were demanding: the forklifts needed to perform reliably under heavy-duty conditions, operate in mixed indoor and outdoor environments, run continuously for long hours, and meet zero-emission standards. After multiple rounds of technical evaluation and solution comparisons, Hangcha’s 8-ton electric forklifts stood out for their high-capacity lithium battery systems, efficient drive motors, and superior energy recovery capabilities.
Equipped with high-performance lithium battery packs, the forklifts allow fast charging and multi-shift continuous operation, significantly reducing downtime. The robust vehicle structure ensures stable handling and energy-efficient performance even under 8-ton loads. For the complex pathways and high-frequency handling at HK Electric’s sites, the forklifts were optimized with advanced steering systems and enhanced visibility, improving both safety and operational efficiency.
During delivery and commissioning, the project team completed customized configurations, on-site testing, and operator training to ensure a smooth integration. Customer feedback during trial operation highlighted significant improvements in energy efficiency, noise reduction, and operator comfort compared to traditional diesel models.
This successful delivery demonstrates Hangcha’s technical expertise in heavy-duty electric forklifts and further supports Hong Kong’s energy sector in advancing green logistics and low-carbon operations.
